People Leader | Standards Setter | Revenue-Accountable Executive
Are you a leader of leaders?
Do you build high-performance teams — not just campaigns?
Do you bring intensity, commercial sharpness, and direct response mastery — while thinking like an executive?
If yes — keep reading.
If not — this will feel uncomfortable.
Stop Reading / Don’t Apply If…
● You have never led and developed managers.
● You have never managed more than $100k/month in paid media.
● You are “just” a performance marketer who wants a promotion.
● You avoid hard conversations.
● You crumble under pressure.
● You prefer comfort over growth.
We are a fast-growing company with high standards.
The right person will grow the department, raise the standards, and build leaders.
The Opportunity
We are entering our next growth phase — and we are looking to double the company.
This requires intensity.
Clarity.
Standards.
Direct response mastery.
And executive-level leadership.
Marketing is already in motion.
Now it needs to scale.
We need someone who can:
● Lead people at a high level
● Zoom into direct response and performance details when required
● Bridge Meta with YouTube
● Integrate digital with in-person events
● Drive partnerships
● Strengthen our growth in core USA markets
● Coordinate an international team across AU, NZ, and North America
This is not incremental improvement. This is a structured scale.
About The Professional Builder
The Professional Builder is a global business coaching company helping construction business owners build profitable, systemised, and scalable companies.
Since 2004, we’ve worked with 2,300+ builders and contractors across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and beyond.
We operate at the intersection of:
● Leadership
● Operational discipline
● Commercial performance
We partner with serious business owners building structured, profitable companies that don’t rely solely on them.
As we grow internationally — particularly in core USA markets — our internal standards must match the performance we expect from our members.
Our Core Values
Grow or Die
You are either growing or stagnating. There is no in-between.
Health & Wealth
Long-term sustainability over short-term ego.
World Class
We measure, adjust, improve. Constantly.
Member Transformation
We win when our members win.
We expect our CMO to embody and enforce these.
This Is NOT…
● A “run the ads” role
● A creative director role
● A senior media buyer promotion
● A brand-only strategist position
This is:
All of the above — plus department-building, culture-setting, standards-defining leadership.
Your Mission as CMO
1. Build a High-Performance Marketing Department
Lead, coach, and develop 10+ team members across:

2. Own Revenue Outcomes (Through People)
You are accountable for:
● Lead volume
● Cost efficiency
● ROAS and CAC discipline
● Revenue contribution
● Event fill rates
● Strategic alignment with Sales
You must bring direct response marketing mastery and deep understanding of:
● Offer positioning
● Funnel optimisation
● Conversion psychology
● Performance creative
● Scaling paid traffic (Meta, YouTube primarily)
You can zoom into the numbers when required — but you build systems so you don’t live there.
3. Bridge Online + Offline Growth
We do not operate in a single-channel business.
You will integrate:
● Meta performance marketing
● YouTube growth and authority positioning
● In-person events & summits
● Strategic partnerships
● Affiliate channels
● International expansion campaigns
You understand how to fill rooms — not just pipelines.
You know how to turn events into content.

● Establish execution rhythm
● Implement reporting cadence
● Create SOPs and scorecards

You create calm, clarity, and momentum.
How You’ll Operate
● Deep collaboration with Sales, Ops, and Member Success
● Strong cultural leadership
● High accountability, low ego
● Direct communication
● Fast decision-making
You are comfortable saying:

Do you want to coach elite builders in a fast-paced role, working with a cohort of 60-80 construction businesses, where you can directly impact business owners, their teams, and their profits?
If you're looking for your next big opportunity…
Our coaching & member success team at The Professional Builder is leading the way, helping builders generate millions in additional profit, reclaim their time & systemise their business successfully.

We're a coaching and education company based in NZ but servicing members around the world. (USA, Canada, Australia, UK & NZ)
Our members are Builders and General Contractors, they're EPIC humans.
2026 is positioned to be our best year yet (which says a lot, considering we've been at this since 2004).
But to take things to the next level, we need a world-class Business Performance Coach…
Does that sound like you? Keep reading.
The Role: Business Performance Coach
Your mission is simple: Coach builders to make more profit, reclaim their time, and scale successfully.
You'll host coaching calls, drive accountability, track key business vitals, optimise financials and implement TPB's best practices to create results.
If the idea of helping building company owners around the world, owning problems and owning solutions, while transforming their company & lives, then this is the opportunity you've been looking for…
We're a sports team, not a family. We work hard, support each other, and play to win.
We want a Business Coaching Machine who we can go to battle with as we scale this to another level.
To crush it in this role, the goal is to achieve the following expectations:
1. Churn Under 4%: Keep members engaged, active, and progressing
2. Financial Reviews: Builders must improve profitability, cash flow, and time freedom through structured coaching.
3. Wins & Renewals: You own your members' results. Track weekly wins and secure strong renewal rates (30% of members renew into the 2nd year).
4. Boardroom Readiness: Identify high-level builders who are a fit for Boardroom Mastermind and guide them to that level.
5. Relentless Accountability: If a builder is stuck, you own the problem and the solution.
6. Referrals - Generate & Convert: Top coaches turn winning members into a referral engine. You're expected to actively generate referral opportunities from your cohort and convert them into new members.
7. Accounts Receivable - Keep It Tight: Treat your cohort like your own business. If clients aren't paying, that's not an admin issue — it's a coaching opportunity to help them win more, fix cash flow, and stay committed to their growth.
Key Responsibilities - We Don't Hire Average. We Want Someone World-Class Who:The Requirements Are Clear…
You've got coaching, consulting or leadership experience (preferably in construction or financial performance space)

You can handle fast-paced environments and keep multiple businesses accountable to hitting their numbers
You thrive in a performance driven team where expectations are high, and results are what matter
You have exceptional communication skills - coaching isn't just about advice, it's about challenging, leading and driving action
You're coachable: even as a coach, you're committed to your personal growth
Problem Solver: You know how to solve problems, not just describe them. You have a PSR (Problem → Solution → Recommendation) approach to teamwork
Understands that this role isn't just coaching: it's managing and leading a portfolio of members and ensuring they succeed.
Your Day-To-Day Tasks Would Consist Of…
Running 1-1 Coaching Calls: Hosting monthly Performance Checks and ongoing accountability sessions for your cohort.
Tracking Key Business Vitals: Monitoring builders' profitability, cash flow, pricing, and pipeline health using our Financial Software that members' numbers are connected to.
Driving Engagement & Activation: Ensuring builders show up, take action, and win.
Capturing & Sharing Wins: Weekly win tracking and monthly Member in Momentum videos showcasing builder success.
Helping Builders Fix Bottlenecks: Troubleshooting cash flow, team, sales, and operational issues to keep them moving forward.
Delivering High-Impact Training: Running live coaching workshops and high-level Boardroom Masterminds.
Collaborating with Success Coaches: Identifying disengaged members and re-engaging them before they churn.
Prepping & Delivering Boardroom-Ready Builders: Fast-tracking top builders into the high-level mastermind.
Driving Referrals & AR Discipline: Generating referrals from winning members and ensuring your cohort stays current on payments — both are leading indicators of a healthy book.
If You're Ticking the List Above, Then We Offer the Following Benefits…
$100K–$120K AUD/NZD (Base): Earn top-tier coaching pay with a clear bonus structure based on performance.
Bonus Structure: Performance coaches can earn an additional 20-40k+ from renewal commissions and referral bonuses. (Uncapped, the more renewals + referral conversions made, the more you’ll earn)
Work As Required - Manage Your Own Schedule: You're expected to manage your schedule as you please, as long as you have exposure across 5 days, and you'll hustle when necessary. Most of our coaches work 4 days split across 5 - starting Monday afternoon and finishing early Friday. Many of our team are into fitness, food, family and travel, with some doing European summer trips, competing in ultra swims, and more.
Fully Remote Role: Work from anywhere, as long as you bring energy & execution to every call.
Professional Development: Access world-class training programs (Taki Moore's Business Coaching, valued at $50k+ annually, Cole Gordon, Vihn Giang, Traffic & Funnels, Jon Giaan, +more).
Generous Leave: Includes Christmas, New Year breaks, public holidays, birthdays and extra leave.
Join a Winning Team: Be part of a company that's been delivering results for builders since 2004.
Career Progression: We're growing. Top performers can advance into leadership roles. We've had Performance Coaches shift to General Manager, Head of Coaching, Head of Program Content, Head of Community - and that's just scratching the surface.
$500 Office Budget: We’ll provide you with $500 to use to upgrade your office set up
2-3x In-Person Events Per Year: As part of the coaching role, you’ll be able to earn the opportunity to attend our in-person events, flights & accommodation paid for.

We're scaling fast. Our creatives need to keep up.
We're doubling our ad budget.
We're doubling our business.
And right now, our paid social creatives aren’t moving and performing as fast as we are.
Yet we have all the ingredients for success.
• A team of 45 in our Member Success Department (many of who what to be in creative)
• In person events with 200 attendees where we capture 10 weeks of content in 2 days
• Case Studies and Member Wins that aren’t being published
• 3x Best Selling Book and PR commitments
• Partnerships with industry leading suppliers and services
Our members (in NZ, AU, USA, CAN, UK) are award winners, and regularly featured on TV.
We’re looking for someone who can pull this all together. So we can tell amazing stories, celebrate our members and break the content creative constraint.
At The Professional Builder, we help custom residential construction business owners in 5 territories win back their time, and make more money.
On average a member saves 12 hours per week and increases gross profit by $108,000..
Since 2004, we’ve worked with over 3,100+members.
But our real growth has happened just in the last 3-4 years. We doubled, doubled again and have doubled again! We now have 45 people in just our member success department and 85+ team members from all around the world.
We host 5 international, 2-day member events a year.
Hold partnerships with national and regional brands.
And we’re still growing… With expectations to double our USA and AUS operations.
That’s where you come in…
What you'll be doing
You'll own the end-to-end creative strategy process -- from audience research and competitor analysis to concept development, briefing, and performance review.
You'll have freedom to work with the members, member success team, sales team, attend events, sit in on coaching sessions and then propose any and all ideas.
We’re open to the full mix of tying direct response marketing with branding and creative design.
No death by committee. You own the full process from idea to results and take the method we have now. This has built a $20m company, and we invite you to upgrade it so it’s capable of getting us to the next level.
The expectations are clear...
• You’ll have 3-5 years of creative experience
• Have consistently delivered static and video creative for performance marketing
• Be an exceptional communicator online (chat and video calls)
• Be proactive and intense in your management of day-to-day operations
• You’ll bring well researched best practice ideas and solutions to the table
• Provide specific recommendations and insights from real time data
• Be an awesome team member and attend daily huddles and check-ins
• Hit weekly KPIs for creatives created and winning ads
• Work with our sales and marketing teams to maintain a pipeline of opportunities
• Work with these same teams to maintain a market to message fit
• Be open to testing and tweaking things using tools, your experience and data
People who make the most $$ and are happiest here at The Professional Builder are good at the following...
• Critical thinking and problem-solving - They come with recommendations and a potential solution when something goes wrong…
• A coachable mentality - They take feedback onboard, grow and hold themselves to high standards personally and professionally.
• Know that every career has sh!t days and that sometimes we need to dig in to hit milestones - They support the team around them.
• Ambitious owner mindset - They take lead and run things with an owners mindset knowing that when the business wins they'll win.
For these people, we offer the following benefits...
• Flexible work week meaning you can be both time and location independent (so long as key actions are completed and performances are met). Otherwise, take every Friday off to travel or be present with your family. And maybe… get really good at golf?
• Birthdays OFF (it’s your day, take your holiday)
• Upskilling is an important part of our culture, for example we are part of coaching programs ourselves spending over $1.5M on company training since 2004. You’ll have already learnt from people likeCole Gordon, Russell Brunson, Frank Kern, Alen Sultanic, Nicholas Kusmich, Ryan Deiss.
• Highly motivated and skilled team members. You're surrounded by people you can learn from. While you’ll be expected to teach them things as well… We don’t hoard intel.
• Good work/life balance, many of our team are into fitness, food, family and travel with some competing in golf and tennis tournaments, ultra swims and doing European summer trips.
• Career progression. We mentioned we're growing and we aren't kidding… We expect the right person to be a problem solver immediately and leader in the company someday, at the very least, with an expanded scope over multiple ad accounts and platforms within 12 months.
We are building a Media Buying machine next to a PR, case study and organic production line and need an Ad Creative expert to help us remove the bottleneck of ad and message fatigue.
Ideally we’re hiring in timezones from PST to Asia (Singapore).
This is because our sales territories cover North America (USA, CAN), UK and ANZ (New Zealand, Australia). Our team is stationed in these regions and we would like you to be as well.
If this sounds like you…
Send your CV, a portfolio or samples of relevant work, and a short intro video to [email protected].
In your video, answer these questions:
• Who do you learn from?
• What creative frameworks and templates do you follow?
• Have you invested in any training or personal development programs?
• Can you describe your remote work environment and how you ensure a secure, distraction-free space for collaborative campaign planning and high-focus tasks?
• What software and tools are you most familiar with?
• Which marketing platforms (e.g., social, SEO, email) do you specialize in, and what kind of ROI or tangible results have you achieved with them?
We'll then send you a direct link to our position scorecard and call for an interview.
Our creative team ships a lot. The system behind it needs to be built.
We're growing fast -- and the volume of creative work coming out of our marketing team is only going up. Meta ads. Video scripts. Email campaigns. Landing pages. Organic content. Five international events a year. A podcast. A YouTube channel. A founder with a serious media presence.
The output is real. The pace is real. And right now, we need someone to build the operational infrastructure that lets all of it run without friction.
That's the problem. If you're the kind of person who reads that and thinks "I know exactly how to fix that," this role is for you.
At The Professional Builder, we help trades and construction business owners across New Zealand, Australia, and North America build better businesses and better lives. 2,300+ members. Grown 10x in six years. And we're not slowing down.
What you'll be doing
You'll own the full creative production system -- the queue, the workflows, the SOPs, the quality reviews, and how resources are allocated across the team. You'll identify bottlenecks before they become blockers. You'll build processes that actually scale. You'll track the metrics that matter and use them to keep improving. And you'll work closely with the creative leads to make sure the team has what they need to do great work, without the chaos.
Every SOP you write, every workflow you improve, makes the whole team better indefinitely. This is a building role, not a maintaining one.
You're the right person if
You've run operations inside a creative or marketing environment before. You think in systems, not just tasks. You're strong on project management tools and you can build processes that people actually follow. Quality control feels like craft to you, not admin. You're data-driven, you make decisions, and you thrive when the pace is high.
This isn't for you if you need a quiet, stable environment to do your best work, you prefer to inherit someone else's system rather than build your own, or you get frustrated when priorities shift quickly.
What life looks like here
This is a fully remote role with the chance to travel domestically and internationally for our member events and roadshows.
We invest seriously in our team. You'll have access to Cole Gordon's 8-Figure Boardroom, Taki Moore's Boardroom, the 7-Figure Sales Academy, public speaking training, and more.
We also promote from within, fast. Our General Manager started as an intern. Our Events Manager was an EA. Our Head of Member Success started at the lowest rung of the ladder. If you're curious, competitive, and you keep winning, we'll find you a bigger game to play. We expect you to be in a new role 12 months from now.
We're a 2025 New Zealand Best Places to Work Finalist, ranked in the top 1% of building coaching companies worldwide, with a Google review count of 4.7 and an employee NPS of 94.5.
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience. Preference for candidates based in Australia or New Zealand.
